I am trying to help my brother right now. He's trying to get on the liver transplant list. Although he is on SSDI and MA, his bills are mounting and he's getting shut off notices for his phone, gas, and electric. He owns his home, but cannot work because he's in end stage liver disease. I try to help as much as I can, and I have contacted the National Association for the Terminally Ill.
I would appreciate any help anyone is willing to give, and would really appreciate any information from people who have been through this before.
My brother is 53 years old, and I think that is too young to die. He has had Hepatitus C for a long time and it has damaged his liver to the point of needing a transplant. He can no longer pay his bills and will probably end up losing his house soon.
